Testimonials

Like many small business owners, Tracy Dunham started with a good idea: to help her clients design and decorate their homes and offices. She launched her business and reached some success, but she wanted to take her venture to the next level. Her schedule did not permit classroom time, so we developed a customized training series around her availability. We also mapped out consulting services to build the capacity and infrastructure of the business. The online entrepreneurial assessment confirmed that Tracy’s business matched her skills and talents. We identified two key needs: training sales team members to best support her, and shoring up her marketing strategy. Décor Home Boutique is now growing, achieving higher profit, and playing a larger role in the community. Tracy recently asked ISE to develop a business plan for expansion and help her secure external financing for her “leverage stage”. We are there for her business every step of the way.

Charitable Connections, a community developer, solicited the help of the Institute for Social Entrepreneurship to develop a social entrepreneurial model to meet the unique needs in Atlanta. The Institute for Social Entrepreneurship trained the group on Community Entrepreneurship Development (CED); a redevelopment model created by the Institute that uses a framework to develop strategies that address business and social needs in communities. The four day training session laid the foundation to develop social ventures and sustainable economies in targeted neighborhoods.
