Smart Design and Partnerships
The Institute's research led to the development of "The Arnett", a Social Entrepreneurship Center model located at 336 Arnett Blvd. Rochester, NY; the center's primary purpose is to train the next generation of young Social Entrepreneurs. The center also supports adult entrepreneurs and serves as a community redevelopment or building model. The center model is self-sustaining and contains a blend of youth social entrepreneurs, adult business partners, and apartments.
The center allows RISEGO, our youth development partner, to build the next generation of young Social Entrepreneurs while the Institute focuses on helping adults and organizations build businesses, social ventures and communities. The center allows communities to implement our comprehensive model by:
- Teaching youth and adults through the Journey curriculum in our on-site training classrooms
- Providing access and space within the center that serve as marketplaces for youth and adult businesses and ventures
- Supporting young Social Entrepreneurs through onsite business mentors / coaches
- Sustaining operations through ongoing rental income and partnerships
